Great Winter Boots!
I always get my big guy coats and boots for the winter. Where we live we can get massive snow in the winter. If not snow, then we get lots of cold days with ice. The ice requires me to salt my driveway and that can be hard on bare paws. I got these boots because they were taller than the standard ones. I added suspender straps to keep them from getting lost when they came off. Seems no matter what I did he could step out of them...I almost lost one or two of them. The size is good for him and they fit perfectly. The one down side that I will say once they get worn is they don't hold their shape at the foot which makes them shift and bend. My dog winds up walking on the sides of them. They should improve the foot area with a reinforced, waterproof fabric that comes to the ankle. I'm not deducting anything stars for the design as they did the job protecting his feet and he was able to step in deeper snow areas when needed. He has ran this pair in the ground literally..so next year he will be needing a new pair. I would hope they improve on the sturdiness of the foot area since I have only my had these for about a month and a half. Most of his wear and tear is from the boot shifting when he is walking in deep snow or piles of deep leaves. I would repurchase if no better options present next year!

Works, stayed on, kept paws warm
The media could not be loaded. **CORRECTION FROM MY VIDEO****Size ordered was XL(says size 8) so I sized up 1 sizeQuick run through, I have a 85 pound three year-old Akita rescue. He is very large paw pads measured about a little over 2.75. I did size up one size because of how massive his pads are. You do NOT have to do this as many people said that they do run big.I did not test in snow, but it is currently -6° and very icy. The boots have grips at the bottom, they are very well insulated and most importantly THEY STAYED ON! After being outside for 30 minutes, his paw pads were nice and warm when I took them off. Most dogs do not like things on their back paws so I had to keep readjusting the back. I will say if their paw pads are not sitting properly in the boot they will not be as well protected from the cold so we’ll have to work on that part.Overall, absolutely love them, and he quickly adjusted to them.

Poor Design - Dogs Can Get Them Off Too Easy
I have used Dog Booties for years on my dogs, but the normal ones do not keep their legs dry so I thought I would try these taller ones. First rainy day was the first time to use them and I was concerned from the get go. I've always found you have to tighten those velcro strips pretty tight to keep them on, but its never been a problem until these. There is not enough velcro to attach to when you tighten the strips around their legs. To get them tight enough leaves about an inch of free hanging velcro which made it easy for both dogs to grab them with their teeth and remove them. My golden had three shoes off in left than 15 minutes and the other came back to the house with only two. Now I have 5 shoes somewhere in my yard to find once it stops raining. Extremely poor design with the velcro. I do not recommend these dog boots. stick with the shorter ones we've used before for now on.

HUGE
My 66lb Golden's paw measured 2.75" across, so I got the 3.15" boot, thinking it would be better to have a little extra room rather than a snug fit. I don't know what kind of horse-dog would fit in the boots I received, but the shoe is over 4" wide and they are almost as long as my arm - far taller than the 9.5 or 10 inch height described.I couldn't even get my dog's foot all the way down to the shoe part, because her legs aren't long enough! Something is way off about the sizing listed here, a medium might have fit her better, but I wound up getting a different style altogether.

Can’t get his feet to stay secured in boot 🐾🧐
The media could not be loaded. I like this product in theory, because the boots I’ve used always get lost in the snow when I bring my dog to cross country ski. When he goes off trail to romp, we always lose a booty or two. I thought I’d give these a try because they’d have a better chance of staying on in deeper snow. Putting them on is a challenge to get the fit secure, especially on the back legs. There is quite a lot of of waterproof fabric to manage, and it becomes difficult to tightly secure, especially because of the bend in his knee. The boots are kind of rigid in how they ride up the leg and it doesn’t account for the bend in his knees. What I noticed is after jumping around or playing, his leg slides up in the boot sleeve and there ends up being way too much room at the end of the boot and he’s just flopping it around. So it’s hard to keep his foot secured in the boot portion. I wish someone would make a booty like this with a gripping type of sole, and then some kind of neoprene sleeve. I guess I’m still on the hunt. I want to love these , but I’m still testing…
