I bought this pantry for all of my dry food storage since we don't have a built in pantry in our kitchen. For what it costs it is a great pantry, sturdy, a nice color, and with a nice appearance. It has great features such as adjustable shelves, adjustable drawer, and plenty of space inside. Does really well at what its advertised it does.However I had two problems with it. It arrived split in two separate boxes arriving on two separate days but after the first box was delivered the whole order was marked as delivered for me. So you can imagine when I opened the first box and found no instructions and half the pantry missing I got worried and called amazon who let us know it was coming in two shipments.The other issue with it is that it just flat out stinks of varnish and stain. And it doesn't just smell a little, it smells BAD. Like, having to open all of the windows in the kitchen/dining room with fans on and leaving the pantry and open for a few days to air it out bad. It made both my wife and I dizzy from the chemical smell. I would suggest anyone who is sensitive to such smells to avoid this piece.Otherwise than that its a great pantry.

I absolutely love this cabinet! My husband and I love building furniture, but now that we are older it’s not as easy to do, so this was a perfect compromise. I abhor all the cheap crappy manufactured “wood” furniture that is so common these days. Much of today’s furniture is nothing but cheap particleboard. This is a solid piece of furniture that will not disappoint! It’s easier if two people put it together. It takes some patience and careful reading of the directions which Hubby doesn’t always want to do, so we ended up making a few mistakes and had to undo and then redo correctly a few things, but all in all it wasn’t too bad to assemble. I am actually using it in the master bedroom for storage. It holds a LOT OF STUFF! It wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and to me this cabinet is worth every penny.

I found this pantry great, very well made. It did not have the smell that I read in other reviews. My husband had a few mistakes and had to do some do over, because he didn't listen to me , but it was easy fixes. lol I would absolutely recommended Home Styles Furniture. We couldn't find apart thought we were short that part, call customer service. They were very polite and sent it out that day and we got it the very next day. We did find the missing part and I called them and wanted to pay for the one they sent out and said not to worry just recycle it. Could not ask for better service. If I could it would be a 10 star rating. Happy Customer!!

The assembly instructions are missing some important things - missing the parts list for box 2 which are items L thru the rest of the parts. Also they missed an important detailed information in their instructions: in the INSTRUCTIONS 3/14 STEP 4 - THEY FORGOT TO SPECIFY WHICH WAY PART “G” AND “F” ATTACH TO PART “M” WHICH IS CRITICAL BECAUSE THE ATTACHMENT PART “U” (STEP 6) ONLY ATTACHES WITH THE CORRECT PART “F” OR “G”. "F" and "G" PRE-DRILLED HOLES ARE DIFFERENT SO IT'S CRITICAL TO KNOW WHICH WAY TO ATTACH TO PART "M". BECAUSE THIS WASN’T SPECIFIED ON THEIR INSTRUCTIONS, WE ASSEMBLED ALL THE WAY TO STEP 6 BEFORE WE FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS WRONG AND HAD TO TAKE THAT WHOLE ASSEMBLE APART BACK TO STEP 3 AND START OVER AGAIN WHICH ADDDED AN ADDITIONAL 1 HOUR OF ASSEMBLY TIME. IT ENDED UP TAKING 2 OF US WITH GOOD ASSEMBLY SKILLS A TOTAL OF 4 HOURS TO ASSEMBLE THIS PANTRY. I READ IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS THAT IT TOOK 2 PEOPLE 1.5 HOURS. SO IT TOOK US DOUBLE THE TIME AND THEN SOME! I'D RECOMMEND MAKING SURE YOU START THIS PROCESS WITH ENOUGH TIME THAT YOU DON'T GET TOO FRUSTRATED WITH THE PROCESS.ALSO SINCE WE HAD TO TAKE THAT ASSEMBLY APART AND RECONNECT IT THE SCREW HOLE GOT DAMAGED ON THE 2ND TIME AROUND AND CAUSED A SPLIT IN THE WOOD. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL NOT AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PANTRY BECAUSE IT IS TOO LARGE AND HEAVY TO TRY TO REPACK AND RETURN TO THE SENDER. IT LOOKS VERY NICE AND STURDY AFTER ASSEMBLED.

I asked my talented son to assemble this for me. I don’t think I could have done it by myself. He only needed my assistance when mounting the upper half to the lower half. Most of the pieces went together fine except for the right side doors for both upper and lower sections. Each one was off a little at the hinges and they didn’t line up right when closing the doors. He had to bend the hinges and adjust accordingly. After several adjustments both doors lined up good enough for government work. Other than that, I had to open the cabinet up for several days to let the finish odor dissipate before putting anything into it. Overall, it completes our kitchen, looks great, holds a lot of items, great value for the money and best of all, my wife loves it and so do I. If you don’t have a talented son or daughter that are good at assembling things, or if you are a mental midget such as myself, I would suggest opting for the professional assembly.

Once assembled it looks fairly nice, the assembly is such that the unit is fragile. I would put the money towards a store bought piece for durability. The drawer bottom pens and paper, nothing heavy. Moving it could be a problem, be extremely careful.
