Great value, great fishing craft
I have experience with several small water crafts and nothing compares to these types of pontoons. I purchased this model as a complement to my beloved Classic Accessories(CA) Bozeman (discontinued....ugh!) pontoon boat, which I still use for hike-in fishing trips. I would have purchased another Bozeman if available. The Roanoke is the closest to my Bozeman. It's also relatively lightweight and easy to setup. With a couple of modifications...upgraded oar locks and seat swivel..this boat is a go-to vessel for getting into hard to access fishing spots. I have a sit-on top kayak but nothing compares to how stable this pontoon is. I have taking it down rivers with decent sections of rapids and just float seamlessly over them without worrying about dumping. The wide design allows you to float through practically anything pointed in any direction. I know the boat is not recommended for the rougher water I tend to navigate but I think that's short changing its capabilities. When fishing, you sit up high which is another advantage over the kayak. Windy days will push you around a lake but a small anchor solves that. When paddling, it's faster than it looks. Push or pull the oars, whichever works for you. Although CA has other and larger models for which I haven't tried, I highly recommend this craft and hope this review helps.

Fantastic Boat - I don't miss my Jon Boat any more!
I love this pontoon boat. If I had any negative to say it concerns the inflation pressure. You are told not to inflate above 2.4PSI They should offer a way of telling how to guess-tamate without a gauge. Also, if the 2.4PSI is without a person sitting in it. I ordered a gauge even though none of the gauges have a very good review.Other than that I love this boat and have now modified it to accept a hand operated trolling motor

Just What I Needed
With the number of available inflatable pontoons on the market these days. It's nice to find Classic Accessories providing that entry level pontoon option in the Roanoke. At only 8' long, it's shorter than it's big brother the Colorado XT and shorter on those amenities as well. That said, the Roanoke has a lot of perks for itself. And with a little creativity can provide a solid base for adding the creature comforts you want. Fantastic bladders and heavy duty covers. Solid frame and adjustability. Storage is there as well on the top of each pontoon. It does lack a rear rack like the Colorado XT. ONly coming with a nylon/canvas strap on mat. So that does not allow for any heavy gear back there. Side note, Classic Accessories does happen to sell the Colorado XT rear rack on the their site, and with a little modification, it fits ever so nicely on the Roanoke. I know, because I did it. All in all, nicely priced, solid pontoon. So if your budget is light and can't go the big $$ for the Colorado XT? Definitely scoop up the Roanoke !!

perfect for easy slowe water
i use this to get to certain secret spots in slow water.. would notrecommend this for first timers..but for the experienced, it just needs a few modifications like i for example used duct tape to help keep the paddles from slipping and sliding with their oar stopper rings which tend to slide easily ..so that is the most important issue otherwise great for shore line poolin

Good value
Very pleased with overall quality of the boat. Frame is lighter than standard boats which makes it easy to move around. Not too sure about the strength of the light frame. Oars are only 6 feet and are lighter than standard. This is a bare-bones boat at a very good price.

The corrugated cardboard container it came in is sturdy enough to reuse
Light enough to carry in a wagon behind a bicycle to the fishing hole. We're considering leaving it inflated and strapping it to the roof of the car for next season though because it does take more than 10 minutes to inflate with your lungs. And yes, we do have a portable inflationary device but it's just more weight in the wagon. Having the seat in the boat, with foot rests, makes for a relaxing float on a lake or wide river. The corrugated cardboard container it came in is sturdy enough to reuse.

Great little boat for a great price
Just what I was looking for. Easy to assemble and transport, not too heavy. If you're looking for more bells and whistles then you probably want to step up to the the Colorado, but this is a great budget boat.FYI - the inflation valves on the pontoons are the same as what are on inflatable paddle boards. In fact, I use my paddle board pump to pump this up. Most iSUP pumps are double action (pump air on the up stroke as well as the down stroke) and all have pressure gauges. No guessing necessary.

It's ok
Hello I recently got this pontoon and I was pretty excited to try it out. But setting it up for the first time I noticed that a coupl aspects of the boat were cheaply made. The valve that is used to let air in and out of the pontoons broke so it is very difficult to fill with air. One of the traps that is used to attach the pontoon to the frame broke on me after being in the water for 30 min.But on a positive not it is very steady, pontoons hold air very well and the seat is pretty comfortable. The pontoons fits in my car with ease (Hyundai Accent hatchback ) and they go on sale quite often so you can get a good deal.I am a little picky when it comes to my fishing gear because I fish quite often.Cheers hope this helps

Does the job
I found it pretty well made, the complaints I read about flimsy oars and footrests appear to have been dealt with. That said, a pair of pliers made installing and undoing the safety-type pins a lot easier, and a small rubber hammer made lining up the holes the pins go into a lot easier. The boat is stable and easy to row, but if you're over 200 lbs like me, your butt will get wet if you row hard. The oars have rubber collars that don't stay put, but I fixed that with some hose-clamps. A good little craft for puttering around calm waters.

easy to assemble
The boat itself ,because it is inflatable, does not track very well.
