The Tektronix TDS3014C is a 100MHz, four-channel, analog
oscillo with a maximum real-time sample rate of 1.25GS/s per
channel, a record length of 10kpts per channel, and advanced
triggers for electronics applications such as product design,
assembly lines, repair and servicing, and electrical engineering
education, among others. The 3,600wfms/s continuous waveform
capture rate identifies faults so they can then be isolated with
advance triggers (Edge, Video, Extended video, Pulse width, Runt,
Rise/fall time, Pattern, State, Comm, and ALT). The real-time
sample rate and the record length enable long capture times for
displaying detailed waveforms. Waveform measurements include FFT
(fast fourier transform), and advanced math measurements are
available with an optional TDS3AAM application module (sold
separately).
Additional specifications include a rise time of 3.5ns. The
oscillo has ethernet and USB ports for communication, and
additional ports are available with an optional TDS3GV
communications module (sold separately). The TekProbe interface
allows use with active, differential, and current probes (sold
separately) for automatic scaling and units. The oscillo has
a 6.5" color TFT-LCD with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and an
anti-glare surface for viewing waveforms. It is battery-capable
with an optional TDS3BATC rechargeable lithium battery pack (sold
separately). This analog oscillo is Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) and European Conformity (CE) approved and meets
European Standard (EN) and International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) 61010-1 safety standards.

Oscillos are electrical testing devices used to verify the
functionality of an electrical signal generator. Oscillos
measure an electrical signal over time, and display the waveform
signals in a visual graph. The waveform shows the sweeps (or
refresh) of voltage on a vertical (Y) axis, and can display time
on a horizontal (X) axis. Details of a waveshape demonstrate the
signal over time. Oscillos can display in a digital or
analog view. An analog oscillo has continuous waveform
display, typically in a luminous phosphor. Some oscillos can
display more than one channel and type of measurement
simultaneously. Some oscillos can capture waveform signals
to memory, and recall them. Oscillos may provide real-time
intensity grading. Some oscillos have the ability to adjust
frequency of display. A constant image will display if a signal
is shown at a high frequency. Oscillos can be powered with
batteries or electricity, or may have a built-in generator. They
may have Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or European
Conformity (CE) certification, or a specific category (CAT)
safety rating, such as CAT5e. Oscillos are commonly used for
testing, measuring, and inspecting in science, engineering,
telecommunications, automotive, and industry applications.
Tektronix manufactures test and measurement equipment such as
oscillos, signal generators, and protocol, logic, and
spectrum analyzers. The company, founded in 1946 and
headquartered in Beaverton, OR, meets International Organization
for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001 and 14001.
