FRED Black CAT by Karen Obuhanych, 500 Piece Puzzle (5274227)

A great gift and great fun. Requires a lot of concentration. Not hard, but not for the squeamish. Includes a lovely poster too. Nicely illustrated and sturdy keepsake box. The pieces came in a sealed bag, there were zero missing pieces, and none ever broke during the application. Finished puzzle is approx. 20x20 inches. I plan on doing it again and/or framing it. FYI: There are no indicating letters or numbers on the backside of the puzzle pieces. The hardest areas are the red flowers and the rock behind the cat b/c everything looks the same. The pieces are small, so be careful not to misplace them. Otherwise, worth buying for an adult or teenager. Wouldn't recommend such a large puzzle for a kid under 9.

The puzzle art was delightful and the puzzle itself was fun to put together. I also like that it included a large, sturdy reference poster. So many times, manufacturers don’t include posters or when they do, they’re too small.The pieces fit together well and I can’t remember any problems with false fits. I would do more of their puzzles, especially if it had cat art from the artist again.It also looked like it would be difficult with all the solid black of the cat, but that part was fairly easy. It helps that it’s a 500 piece puzzle. Just enough to be interesting but not too big to be boring or frustrating.

It’s so cute! The puzzle came sealed on the outside and inside has a resealable ziplock bag with the pieces (if you’re like me and break the puzzle up and put it back together again at a later date). It took me about 5 hours or so with breaks leisurely working on it by myself. Not so easy to be boring, difficult enough to keep me interested but not so hard that I’d get frustrated and give up. Good quality and the cuts are clean, I liked that there wasn’t a lot of dust in the pieces like some cheaper puzzles I’ve purchased.

Well constructed puzzle. Your perfect winter day puzzle. Even easy for older kids. Would recommend.

We like to do a puzzle during the holidays, to sit together, chat, and do something relaxing. This affordable puzzle was just the thing. Great price. Fun art. I liked that there was an art poster inside to guide us on what the finished puzzle should look like. It took 4 people 2 short sessions to do....so maybe next time, I'll look for an even harder puzzle. But, this was just the right difficulty for a casual session. It fit on the coffee table nicely while being assembled. A couple of the pieces fit, even in the wrong place, so, be careful. But, an affordable, fun puzzle, that made for a fun family experience.

Maybe I'm showing my age here but the puzzles today are so thin the pieces have trouble staying together. This is a cute puzzle of moderate difficulty and a lot of fun to put together.

Love the artwork. Clean image too. This one is one of the more difficult end of 500 piece puzzles. It was fun to put together. Good value.
